Worktable est une installation composée de plusieurs pièces qu’on traverse une à une. À l’intérieur, on reçoit des instructions, de l’équipement, des lunettes de sécurité et du matériel avec lequel on peut se mettre à l’œuvre. Chacun décide comment les choses se décomposent. Kate McIntosh prépare le marteau, vous faites le reste !

L’œuvre de l’artiste en résidence au Kaaitheater, Kate McIntosh, transcende les limites de la performance, du théâtre, de la vidéo et de l’installation. Ce qui frappe à chaque fois est la manière dont elle parvient à vaincre la distance entre acteur et public et sa prédilection affichée pour les images théâtrales. En une semaine, on peut voir trois de ses productions, qui oscillent de façon ludique entre science, divertissement, expérience, variété, philosophie et récits éclectiques.
